As Fulbright Canada celebrates its 30th anniversary, a new Canadian Scholars application cycle is opening. For 2021/2022, Fulbright Canada is offering several Research opportunities at top US Institutions.Ìý
Our grants support research with colleagues across the U.S. for a 4 to 9-month period.ÌýApplications are accepted through November 15th, 2020.Ìý

Did know that:Ìý 1- if you are interested in hosting a US graduate student for 9 months for 2021/2022 they can apply to the Fulbright Student Award (US$20 thousand) for doing research in Canada. 2- If you are supervising a graduate student (CA Citizen) that wants to conduct research in the US for 9 months they are also eligible for the same benefit. . Review Criteria
The applicant possesses the training, credentials, and active professional standing, as appropriate for their project, discipline, and career path, and meets all stated requirements for the award, including language proficiency (if applicable).
The project is feasible, original, well-designed, innovative, and demonstrates relevance and currency to the discipline.
The project demonstrates a broad, sustainable impact beyond the length of the award period and clearly describes plans to disseminate results.
The applicant displays an ability to be adaptable, culturally sensitive, collegial, and can serve as a cultural ambassador for Canada |

Additional Opportunity for Canadian Scholars with application open until September 15, 2020
:ÌýUS$40,000 for 18-months (March 2021- Fall 2022) engaged in addressing public policy research questions relevant to Arctic nations’ shared challenges. Ìý
The Fulbright Arctic Initiative will identify both established experts and early-career specialists from the eight Arctic Council countries to carry out collaborative research in the following themes:
- Arctic Security and Cooperation,
- Arctic Infrastructure in a Changing Environment,
- Community Dimensions of Health.
