Concordia Connects Grant for Community and Cultural Engagement

The Office of Extension and Culture is pleased听to announce听that BMO-CIAR has been awarded the Concordia听Connects Grant for Community Engagement for 2019-2020.
“We are very excited to receive this support as it will help Innovation Launchpad@CUE students present their ideas to a wider audience and receive feedback from experts from the innovation community in Edmonton at the听Innovation Launchpad showcase event on March 19, 2020,” says Dr. Isha Katyal, Manager, BMO-CIAR.听

About听Innovation Lauchpad@CUE:听
This is an extracurricular work-integrated learning program that听employs an objective-based mentoring process with a goal of advancing ideas into reality, and enabling students to tackle the multi-disciplinary world we live in. It prepares students to think differently, communicate effectively and, most importantly, build a network.听

About听BMO-CIAR:听
BMO-CIAR provides a woven approach for connecting multi-departmental research activities to external stakeholders in addition to听听Assists students, recent grads, youth and Indigenous entrepreneurs to identify and develop alternative career paths through one-on-one mentorship, workshops, seminars, and networking events.听The BMO-CIAR can be found in the state-of-the-art Allan Wachowich Centre for Science, Research, and Innovation.

About听Concordia Connects Grant:
The Concordia Connects Grant for Community and Cultural Engagement (CCGCCE) is open to students, sessionals, instructors, staff and faculty.Two grants are available per year: $3000 for community engagement and $2000 for cultural engagement initiatives.
