Fessenden-Trott Scholarship

The Fessenden-Trott scholarships were established in memory of the late Professor Reginald Aubrey Fessenden and the late Helen May Fessenden (nee Trott). Up to four (4) scholarships will be available at the bachelor level. These scholarships are valued at $9,000 annually for three years (or until the scholar obtains their first degree), and are for students who have completed their first year of their first bachelor’s degree program by the deadline date of June 7 in the year of application. Applicants who have undertaken prior post-secondary studies (other than the first year of their first bachelor’s degree program) will not be eligible. Each year, these scholarships are offered to a different region of Canada. In 2026, nominations will be accepted from universities in the Western provinces.

Students must meet the following criteria to apply:

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident by June 4th in the year of application
• Undergraduate students entering the second year of your first bachelor’s degree on a full-time basis in September 2026 (program of study can be in any field or discipline, but must be at least three years long)
• High academic achievement from Fall 2025
• Demonstrated leadership qualities as evidenced by volunteer/community involvement and/or extracurricular activities.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½ is accepting applications until April 27,2026 and will select one student to nominate.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Partners Canada (SPC), a division of Universities Canada.

How to Apply:

  1. Submit an online application by visiting . Access the Fessenden-Trott program using the company code: 069FES2026
  2. Once submitted, the system will send a confirmation email, along with a PDF copy of the submitted application. You must forward the PDF copy of your application to the Financial Aid & Awards office by the April 27th deadline.
