Department of Biological and Public Health Sciences

From cells to ecosystems

Offering three and four year Bachelor of Science degrees, an after-degree in Environmental Public Health and a graduate diploma in Environmental Public Health; the Department of Biological Sciences and Public Health prepares graduates for the workforce, and further study at the graduate level.

Our Biology program offers multiple concentrations or major options, such as: Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Integrative Biology. A minor in Biochemistry or a minor in Biology is available to students in other areas of study.

The Biological Science and Public Health programs combine theoretical with applied instruction to provide students with broad knowledge from foundational concepts to cutting-edge research in biology, as well as extensive hands-on laboratory experience.

Smaller lecture and lab sections mean students get direct personalized support from their professors, greater access to our state of the art laboratories, and opportunities to participate in active research programs, even at the undergraduate level.
